2003 Highlights!

OMAHA-AREA VOLLEYBALL RECOGNITION

Several of our volleyball players were recognized in The Omaha World Herald on Friday, September 19.  Kristina Sandoval, Michaela Schroeder, and Marissa Wells were credited for averaging .8 ace serves per game.  Laura Johnson was recognized for averaging 3.5 set assists per game.  Five players were recognized for hustling to get defensive digs (average digs per game noted in parentheses):  Kristina Sandoval (7), Laura Johnson (6.7), Sharon Dell (6), Michaela Schroeder (5.5), and Lauren Phillips (3.3).  Way to go, girls! 

2002 Highlights!

Amy Henkenius and Stephanie Johnson made the All-Nebraska, 

Honorable Mention Class D-1 Volleyball team for 2002!  Amy also made the "First All-Conference" team and Stephanie made the "Second All-Conference" team for the Frontier Conference!

Omaha Christian Academy (OCA) is a member of the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA). 

We compete in Class D1. Student participation is subject to certain rules outlined by the NSAA.

Junior and Senior High
Both the Junior High and Senior High girls have a fall volleyball league.

Eligibility Rules
OCA sets scholastic eligibility rules. If a student's grade (in one class) drops below 75%, he or she is considered on probation for the following week. If the grade is not brought up in one week, the student is ineligible and is not allowed to participate in the sport.Any student can participate in a sport.

Elementary
Fall volleyball teams are formed with 5th & 6th grade OCA students if there is enough interest. The elementary sports teams compete in the YMCA program.
